prologue affiliates 2010 nong credits

i won't call this dinner a reunion dinner because we haven't even met before that.
hahaha
i finally met my mom's family members after 20 long years
amazing isn't it?
if my parents did not go to thai today, i guess i won't even have the chance to eat together with them.

my mom's family has lesser members as compared to my dad's (dad has 8 sisters, and 3 brothers).
mmm, mommy's family consists of 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and a set of parents of course.
but grandfather passed away due to lung cancer,
and one of her bro passed away 2 years ago due to an accident (i didn't even know about it).

i heard that my mom's youngest brother completed his education in australia last year and is currently working for the australian government. here's the conversation on how i knew about this:

uncle: oh, 'didi' (youngest brother) is very intelligent and determined, he ban gong ban du (juggle work and studies) and completed his education.. du (study) until cannot du alr leh.

me (thinking): huh, du until cannot du? no money is it?

uncle: if you want to further your studies in australia can ask him to help you write recommendation letter to the university he studied. oh ya, i got his name card, wait ah.

(hands over the name card to me)

me: (doctor?!) wah, really du until cannot du leh

now i'm thinking if i shld really pull strings to get myself a place in that whatever university.
but come to think about it, we don't even know each other?!
if you have read one of my post i stated whether family is about the quality time spent together, or just blood relations?
i didn't even know my other side of the family until today.

mmm, but can i be selfish when it comes to my education?
and it's australia, not singapore.
i remember telling hui that i will never consider studying abroad because it is quite a selfish act.

oh well! think about it tmr or sth.
collecting ang pow is top priority for now =D
