it didn't occur to me that the world is becoming VERY shallow
until a below-average-looking 16 year old girl who just completed her O's this year joined Mrs Fields

tiffane asked her why Mrs Fields and not other jobs because our job is rather boring (we just repeat our daily work routine and there isn't any aim or achievement to be proud of at the end of the day.)
she replied "I have been looking for all sorts of jobs and they didn't get back to me."
okay, maybe i am being shallow myself for thinking that they didn't employ her because of her looks.
but it's hard not to think that it is the most probable reason so.
of course there are other reasons like:
she's young
no job experience
blah blah blah.
2 weeks of search and none of them got back to her
it's quite... demoralizing.

i sensed that she has low self esteem
and it's very much caused by the society

i tried to be nicer to her to make her see that not people don't just make friends with good looks (eg Tiffane!)
but i think... being nicer to her will only cause her self esteem to drop lower.


I believe that everyone of us have our very own problems with looks and appearance.
too fat, too skinny, too pimply, too short, too flabby, not proportionate figures, not very define features and the list goes on.
and you've gotta work hard to look better (if you want to)
it's not like santa clause will come knocking at your door and give you an extreme makeover on christmas.

okay i'm drifting away from the topic already.
